Sligo Traveller Support Group provides a range of educational supports and services.
We run two homework clubs in Sligo town and in Collooney for Primary school children which run in Sligo from Monday to Friday 2.30-5.30pm and in Collooney Monday to Friday 2.30-5pm.

We provide support as requested to families in relation to school enrolment, attendance, participation and transition from primary to secondary school, examinations and progression to third level.
We have the use of a computer and preparation disc for people who wish to apply for Driver Theory Test.
Advancing the capacity of Traveller parents to support their children’s learning in establishing good working relationships with school.
We also offer a range of other courses, dependent on funding and interest, in areas such as cookery and sowing. We are currently running a Handyman programme for young Travellers where a range of skills including basic car maintenance, garden upkeep, waste disposal, and domestic electrical skills e.g plug wiring are learnt.
